Tegan Emerson
Tegan Emerson is a ceramic artist, creating highly textured forms and surfaces inspired by organic coral architecture, deep-sea life, and deep-time geological forms, as well as the dualism of build-up and erosion. The logo for her ceramics practice embodies these themes with flowing typography that reflects the intricate textures of her work. Inspired by 19th-century lettering from The Shadow of Death by S.E. Stenbock, the design features undulating forms that evoke geological formations and marine environments, creating a visual connection to Tegan's artistic philosophy.

The letters are subtly textured, mirroring the tactile surfaces of Tegan's pieces, and incorporate elements reminiscent of geological formations, suggesting depth and movement – akin to the ebbs and flows of ocean tides. This dynamic interplay of form and texture captures the essence of Tegan's exploration of the unknown and the mystical, inspired by her curiosity about esoteric themes. The chosen brand font, Windsor, carries an esoteric history, originally designed in the 19th century. Its elegant curves and distinctive character resonate with the unique qualities of Tegan's ceramics, enhancing the overall narrative of her artistic practice.
